Dr Turk has incorporated the high-tech Picasso Laser into our practice. The Picasso soft tissue laser
allows our team to perform a number of dental treatments using specific light wavelengths, thus
avoiding the use of more invasive traditional tools. This technology gives our patients the benefit of
an especially pleasant experience while receiving the highest level of treatment available.
In general, lasers are more accurate than scalpels and drills, and help dentists to conserve bone and
tooth. Lasers work by delivering energy in the form of light, heating the water in the body's cells to
the boiling point, causing the cells to burst. In dental surgical procedures, lasers act as cutting
instruments or vaporizers.
Laser dentistry minimizes bleeding during dental treatment, because the high-energy light aids in the
coagulation of exposed blood vessels. Laser Dental procedures are quite comfortable for our
